Hello dears. Long time, no update. My bad.
Anyway, to all of my fellow Moms (and Stepmoms, Grandmoms, Godmoms and PsuedoMoms) I hope you had a safe and happy Mother's Day! Mine was awesome. Breakfast at Denny's (which I had been craving for months) laying out in the sun with my awesome Mother's Day gift from my husband: the boxed set of the Sookie Stackhouse novels! Relaxed all day while the boys cleaned and cooked for me. Epic win. How was yours?

Adoption front:
Woo hoo! This week we are sending off our Home Study retainer!!! That means as soon as our check clears, our agency sends over a Social Worker. She will do 3 visits. One to interview me, one to interview my husband, and one to talk to us both and check out our house. I was in a panic about cleaning but my Parent Coordinator was like "Dont worry, seriously, she's not gonna like, check your fridge for expiration dates."
Still, Im nervous! But we are excited cause its a big big big step! The SW we are recommended for is super nice and Ive talked with her already, but I know Im going to be a hot mess and like, fart or something when she comes.
Also, this weekend we are having a multi-family garage sale at our house for some extra funds. Some friends had piles of stuff and we gladly took it off their hands for the cause. Im planning on making lemonade and cupcakes to sell too!
