So I had this empty bandaid tin. (my son constantly "needs" bandaids) So I fucked it up with some sandpaper, and collaged the inside, added some polymer clay bats and pumpkins, and resined it. I think its pretty awesome considering its base is basically garbage. I lucked out with the fact that they were "pirate" bandaids, so the skull on the back was a nice bonus. Of course, for sale at [link] 15 bones yo.
lol thank you! You know, I had those pirate band-aids forever. It wasnt until he got his first cut and band-aid that all of a sudden he was getting "booboo"s and needing band-aids every five minutes. Half the time the location of the alleged booboo would change between the time he told me about it and the time I got back with a band-aid. I wonder if I got pink Barbie band-aids if he would suddenly not be clumsy....
I love those band-aids. I have sushi ones too. And thank you, I find that there is a lot to be done with small little things I would normally throw out. Now everything is like a base or a canvas.
Hehe, I have Barbie, bacon and eggs, pirates, crayons, hello Kitty, and Power Ranger band-aids currently. I mean, if I'm going to have to wear them, they might as well be fun, right?
I'm also doing a project right now with candy wrappers, but it's on hold till Halloween when I can bother everyone I know to save clean wrappers so I can make things with them. Because lord knows I alone eat enough junk food during the month of October! XD
Plus you're stuff always gives me such good idea. If I only have more time and the equipment!
holy crap. thats a lot of band aids. cant wait to see what you do with the wrappers. Did you ever see that girl on here that made a dress from skittles wrappers? insane! I know how you feel. Sometimes I go to the somerset studios website and im like "omg i could so do something like that....if i had those supplies"
Yes, and I favorited that dress io around 40 seconds. So so neat!
BUT YES, Much artist envy, though a friend f my recently received a really sweet jewelry making setup and has most of it up and running at this point. Maybe during winter break I'll high tale it over to her place~
